Chay River – Toi (Dark) Cave is one of the tourist attractions in Phong Nha – Ke Bang National Park (Quang Binh Province, North Central of Vietnam). International visitors come here to experience zipline, mud bath, sup paddle, and enjoy the cool and fresh air.

Chay River is one of the tributaries of Son River, originating from Chay Waterfall, with a length of about 10 km. This river branch owns a calm and romantic with the blue water colour as jade, and is also a path that leads to Dark Cave, so there is huge potential for tourism development.
In addition, having fun at Chay River – Dark Cave is something that many people recommend in the discovery schedule of visitors when coming to Quang Binh.

Zipline is truly a highlight activity in Chay River. This activity includes two routes: a 400m zipline from the observatory to the mouth of Dark Cave and a short zipline from the bank to the middle of the river and then release in the water of the Chay River. Free your soul within a minute, feel the light wind over a distance of more than 400m from the observatory to the mouth of Dark Cave.
To reach Dark Cave, visitors can choose to zipline to the cave entrance or swim or kayak for sightseeing and having fun.

Dark Cave belongs to a branch of Phong Nha cave system, which is both dry cave and water cave, with the length of 5,258m and the height of 80m; the first 1,000m of the cave is now to serve tourism. The cave is pristine with thousands of stalactite columns in unique shapes, along with traces of fossils millions of years ago.
The deeper you penetrate into the cave, the easier it is to feel the cold air radiated from the rock. Visitors need to wear flashlights, life jackets and comply with some regulations such as not wearing shoes, food, strange items, etc. When returning, people are advised not to bring anything from the cave.

Visitors can put themselves into the pit of pure dilute mud that is eroded and refined by the limestone mountains. With 15 minutes to experience this natural resource, visitors are often advised to limit the application of creams to preserve the natural mud layer.
